One Too Many Shots to the Head

There is concern that hockey players are subject to risk of the same long-term brain damage now known to be occurring in football players. The NHL, of course, is "studying" the problem and will probably take no action at least over the short haul.

That story led me to wonder, when I read this, whether or not elderly former martial arts practitioners, those who have taken a few too many karate kicks to the head, might not also be suffering from a form of dementia brought on by chronic head trauma.
