Russia shut off all gas supplies to Europe through Ukraine on Wednesday — leaving more than a dozen countries scrambling to cope during a winter cold snap.Those of us (myself included) who argued that Europe was foolish to depend on Russia for energy probably are taking no pleasure in being proven to have been correct.
Well, only a little bit of pleasure.
