Ah, Much Better
Even at $5.65/gal for aviation gasoline (and I used 13 gallons), it felt good to fly.
(I did manage to put over $50 of gas into a Honda Accord without running the tank down to "empty."-- ouch!)

COMMENT MODERATION IS IN EFFECT UFN. This means that if you are an insulting dick, nobody will ever see it.
Probly cheaper to fly.
ReplyDeleteNot really, even if you take into account the difference between winding down roads and flying in a straight line.
ReplyDeleteBut it is usually a lot quicker.
Boy howdy! I'm green with envy! Many, many years ago I spent a long week with an uncle who was a flight inspector with the FAA and married to a beautiful woman who was also a licensed flight instructor. Both could legally instruct everything short of helicopters. As they were required to fly to keep themselves current, they offered me as many hours of flight instruction as needed to get a multi-engine instrument license if I would pay only a share of the fuel expense. Being under legal age, it required my mother's permission. She refused because it was "too dangerous". I never had such an opportunity again and never forgave her.
ReplyDeleteJeg, I can understand why you'd feel that way.
