Wishbooks

Correction, it's not just the 1976 Penney's catalog. They have a whole bunch of them.

1966, the Vietnam war had not yet gone sour, so they were selling `Nam toys:




You almost have to wonder if any of Chimpy;s younger siblings were playing with this stuff while he was scheming on ways not to get drafted.

The toy guns were a little more purposeful in 1944:

Note that they used rejected stocks from real weapons. No real guns were in the `44 catalog, for reasons that should be obvious to the casual observer.
