Medicating the 4-Legged Buzz Saw; Part 2.5

I wrote about the joy of giving medicine to one of my cats here and here.

This morning, I took Jake in for his yearly "poke & prod." While I was there, I brought up the sheer impossibility of trying to put eye ointment in George's eye. The vet said that it's kind of amusing to send customers home to do things that the vet staff can't do to their own pets.

I don't think he was entirely kidding.

  1. 'Tis amusing - but my partner is a Vet Tech, and she can do it - and wonders why I can't - tho she does have issues with compliance. I'm the one that can remember to give the pill to the cat with the ongoing urinary acid problem, she can't remember to medicate more than 3 days in a row.
