I don't quite understand the attraction of spending time in a hotel that can both catch fire and sink. At least if you go to a crummy hotel, you can check out early and go home. Try doing that from a ship. At least in a hotel, your bed rarely rocks back and forth and motion sickness is a fairly rare occurrence in a hotel.
That cruise ship is larger than an aircraft carrier. The white ferry in the foreground is a converted LST from the Second World War.
