And then you can ask yourself if you are comfortable with the idea that our government has actively committed war crimes. Ask yourself how it feels to be a citizen of a nation that was once known as a bulwark of freedom and liberty, but is now known as a practitioner of torture, of secret arrests, of detentions without trial (you know, all those things we used to regularly accuse the Communists of doing). And if you are fine with that, you can proudly carry your card as a paid-up member of the Society of Good Little Germans.

Justice happens. And some day, some of these people involved are going to have to stand before a court and be confronted with the evidence of what they did or what they ordered to be done. And nobody in this nation will have any excuse for not knowing, for not seeing. And for not saying anything.
