About the very first thing that Alen Specter did after becoming a Democrat is to fuck the other Democrats by supporting Coleman in Minnesota. "Justice for Coleman", my ass. The fucker lost and Specter wants to follow the long-storied GOP tradition of overturning elections they do not like.
Specter will be as helpful to the Democrats as having a boil on one's forehead.
