Blasts From the Past.
According to the stats thingie, somebody is going through and reading/vacuuming up a lot of my old posts. This one, from 2007, is pretty spot-on with what's going on with the Administration of Commandante Bone Spurs.

A lot of blogs have been seeing that. It's probably "AI" scraper bots.
ReplyDeleteI had that happen, a massive uptick in views across my blog. Infidel's right, it's likely scraper bots. You'll need to AI-proof your blog. You have to edit your robots.txt to deny bots, there are steps how to do it. https://www.cyberciti.biz/web-developer/block-openai-bard-bing-ai-crawler-bots-using-robots-txt-file/

DeleteInfidel and Paul, you were right. Putting anti-AI scraper bot code in the roots.txt dropped the visit count back to normal levels.
