"Doug's house" has been raided multiple times, mostly looking for drugs they didn't find (after one unsuccessful raid, officer Hasemier, who was known in the community as "Hassle-mire", of the Oakland Health Beat Task Force asked us "What are you people?" to which Jack replied "We're musicians" which elicited groans from several of the officers who had just turned our house upside down looking for drugs we were much too poor to be able to afford. Never been raided by ICE or the feds though, Oakland had a better relationship with their undocumented immigrant community back then.
