The other point is that the Six Supremes are indeed playing Calivinball-- they're rewriting the rules so Trump always wins.
So far, the lower courts are't going along. They're applying the law the way that they're supposed to and making the Administration fight each case before the Seig Heil Six.
John Roberts has continued along his path to being the most feckless and reckless Chief Justice since signatures were applied to the final draft of the Constitution. He's pretty much already there, much to the relief of the spirits of Roger Taney and Melville Fuller.

It would be doubtful that a bunch of whites in midtown were illegals, And unlikely that a bunch of black people at a downtown barbershop were illegals.
ReplyDeleteIt is VERY likely that a bunch of spanish-only speaking hispanic men looking for day work at a Home Depot are illegals.
Having said that, stopping them (or any group) and forcing them to demonstrate citizenship should be illegal. Unless, and until you have other evidence of illegality they should be treated the same as anyone else on the street. Innocent until proven guilty.
I had to look up Melville Fuller as he's no where near as infamous as Taney and it appears that Roberts will beat out both of them as the worst Chief Justice of all time even though he's nowhere near as articulate as Taney but that's the way it goes with the banality of evil.
ReplyDeleteAt least 85% of U.S. serial killers are male (8% still at large, so their gender unknown), and at least 82% are white (DoJ, “Hunting Humans”). That makes whiles males the most likely serial killers. The FBI estimates about 500 active serial killers in the U.S. today. Under this Court ruling, police should be stopping and questioning all white males.
