Here Comes a Nuclear World

Quite a number of nations live under the American nuclear umbrella, where they don't need to build their own nukes because the Americans have nukes and have signed mutual-defense treaties of one flavor or another.

But, as we are seeing in real time, the United States under Trump has shown itself to be a mercurial parter to whom agreements, let alone principles, mean nothing.

So I expect that a number of nations will, in very short order, quietly start (or restart) programs to acquire nuclear weapons. Some of them might be able to do that in a matter of months or a few years.

  1. The KSA and Turkey can buy from Pakistan all being Sunni.

Saudi Arabia has invested in Pakistani nuclear weapons projects, and believes it could obtain atomic bombs at will, a variety of sources have told BBC Newsnight.

India should have some on offer too. Numbers vary depending on who you ask. It's the Hindu Muslim thing.

India has a vibrant space program so their kit should be more accurate if that matters.
