Lockett's done some fine-penciled analysis of the long-term viability of Tesla and SpaceX....and guess what? They're a house of cards that could never pay off, that everyone has jumped on because Space, the Final Frontier! and EV, the Green answer! But the numbers aren't there and, sooner or later, it's Musk that's the Ponzi scheme

While I think EVs are useful for those that need local travel they are
ReplyDeleteproblematic for range. They are a special use/purpose wheels.
However with that out in the open, the next big issue is quality
and those that lack it or don't offer economy need to disappear.
SpaceX... there are several competitor aiming on the low cost
to orbit market. Most have a good chance. If they achieve that
even a small bite of the market they walk away with customers
money that is finite. So more launches are unlikely just cheaper
ones.
A few EVs like the stasitruck are just junk and fugly at that.
