This Will Be Off the National Media Radar in Three Days

Five people are dead and others injured after a shooting Monday at a Christian school in Wisconsin, the police chief says.

Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes says the suspect shooter is also among the dead.

Just kids being killed at a school. Happens a lot. It's not as though they were CEOs of large companies, so a blip and it'll be gone.

Only one CEO was offed, so it's not like they're living under the same cloud of threat that schoolkids have done every day since 1999 or 2012.

    Terrible, Gun free zones are false advertising. What they claim and
    what they do is not as promoted. Those responsible should be sued.

    I saw a former student interviewed and she said "This is the sort of thing that happens in public school". No, it's the sort of thing that happens in America. We know how to keep guns (mostly) away from the crazy and irresponsible. We just have to do it.

    So was 99 the first year of school shootings? I knew it was a modern thing but I had thought it had happened for more of our history. I knew about Specht (?) but I was referring to grade school shootings. I wonder what changed to "encourage" such a thing. It just wasn't done during my time at school. Sorry that it has become so common.
