If you're one of the Covidiots who believe that COVID-19 is "just the flu",
that the 2020 election was stolen, or

Richest Man in the World Orders His Lackies to Shut Down the American Government
This will be the Musk Shutdown, followed by the Musk/Trump Recession. Or depression.
If you voted for the Republicans or if you couldn't be bothered to vote, whatever happens next is on you.

COMMENT MODERATION IS IN EFFECT UFN. This means that if you are an insulting dick, nobody will ever see it.
Trumps deal was; “Get me elected, and you’ll run the country in my name. Couchfucker can step in if I croak, just keep me out of prison.”
ReplyDeleteif the government closes down do my taxes get reduced by 1/365 (.0027%) per day?
ReplyDeleteThen again if that causes a recession... we know exactly whose
heads to put it on. Just like the last three shutdowns.
Eck!
Are we having fun yet? It is but the return of Captain Chaos

I use the stock market as a barometer and the bottom fell out this week.
ReplyDeleteI told you so is a good start. The shits hitting the fan is the other.

Eck: Government shutdowns don't save money. They cost money. A lot of the work that doesn't get done during the shutdown needs to be caught up after it ends, which means a lot of government employees go into overtime. So either taxes or the deficit will actually increase by some minute amount due to these antics.
ReplyDeleteInfidel753, I'm old with a good memory. Not going to argue with you because you have stated what others already know and I agree.
ReplyDeleteHence my earlier comment on taxes. They loose in all cases.
Hits taxes, GDP and all the other measures.
I remember reading that during the last 10 shutdown no one died.
Like that means its impact was minimal. How many suffered
from homelessness, food costs, and a list of non fatal things
that recovering from takes time and money and there is less
money.
Its just blatant extortion and it could seriously backfire on them
mostly because 2026 could easily look like 2022. And should to
a greater extent.
