Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) reportedly said that President-elect Donald Trump’s victory puts Americans in “a very, very dangerous world,” stressing that he plans to spend his final two years in the Senate pushing back against the growing Trump-fueled isolationism within the GOP.

“We’re in a very, very dangerous world right now, reminiscent of before World War II,” McConnell told the Financial Times on Wednesday. “Even the slogan is the same, ‘America First.’ That was what they said in the ’30s.”
Dear Sen. McConnell:
You, sir, are a cowardly sack of aged gristle. You could have done something about Trump. You and your caucus, in 2021, could have voted to convict him at the second impeachment trial. That.as we all know, would have disqualified Trump from elective office, forever.
You didn't take a stand. You didn't because you are a gutless coward. You figured that the criminal justice system would lock his ass up and if not, the Democrats would defeat him in 2024. You believed that you could avoid taking a stand and hide behind others who would do your dirty work for you.
Well, those things didn't happen. And now we are where we are because you wouldn't fulfil your constitutional duty. You wouldn't assume any risk. There is a word for that: Cowardice.
I hope you can do something to stop Trump's agenda. But one thing I know for certain, you're not going to do much more than flap your gums.
Because you are, as you have always been, a spineless, gutless, craven coward.
