U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville on Wednesday threatened his Republican colleagues with primary opposition if they do not vote to confirm President-elect Donald Trump’s choice of Matt Gaetz for U.S. attorney general.
Tuberville would have trouble closing an umbrella if the instructions were printed on the handle. If there was an unofficial honorific of "The Moron of the Senate", Tuberville would win in a walk. Threatening to primary people who might not be up for election for four or six years is really hollow and stupid.. So is trying to threaten senators into confirming an alleged child molester and drug user as AG.
But "hollow and stupid" are apt descriptions of Tuberville.
