Jews and Muslims Are Not Welcome in Texas

Texas’ education board voted Friday to allow Bible-infused teachings in elementary schools under optional new curriculum that could test boundaries between religion and public classrooms in the U.S.

The material adopted by the Texas State Board of Education, which is controlled by elected Republicans, passed in a 8-7 final vote over criticism that the lessons would proselytize to young learners and alienate students of faiths other than Christianity
.

"Alienate", hell. This sends a clear message that non-Christians are not welcome to live in Texas and raise families. The Christian Taliban is seeking to emulate Iran and other theocratic shitholes. Texas and Oklahoma are their testing grounds.

  1. And they’re using their failure to allocate more money to schools (promising to do it, huge surplus, never follow through) since 2019 to make this work. $60 per students to districts using this material, which is worth about $2-3 million to my local district…which is facing a $40 million shortfall.
