Donald Trump’s campaign said in a statement that he was “fine” after being whisked off the stage at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania after apparent gunshots rang through the crowd.
“President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act,” spokesman Steven Cheung said in a statement. “He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility. More details will follow.”
Let's just wait and see what happened.
Just me, but I smell false flag op.
ReplyDeleteThat's one way to get attention for free.
Eck!
Yeah, I’m thinking that it’s the 2024 analogue of the Reichstag Fire.
ReplyDeleteBut we shall see.
I don’t think it is a false flag. Looks like he grabs for his right ear suddenly. Cutting it way too close if it was supposed to be staged. Two or three inches farther right and the R’s would have had to look for another candidate.

ReplyDeleteA man with a rifle was seen on a rooftop minutes before shots were fired at a Donald Trump rally in Pennsylvania, a witness has told the BBC.
Greg Smith said the man had crawled on top of a building just outside the event in Butler County on Friday evening.
He said he pointed the gunman out to police.

Republicans are already vowing violence and revenge on Biden. Fascist MAGA will use this as a Casus Belli to usher in their reign of terror, violence, and oppression.
ReplyDeleteSame here. I saw the film where he griped his ear and they stayed down way too long protecting him. When he got up there was no blood on his right hand from touching his ear. Very interesting.
ReplyDeleteOK, but first impression is kayfabe, "wrassling" locker-room drama
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was that it was a false flag operation since he dropped immediately and then pumped his fist saying fight for him. And he is already pointing fingers at his "enemies" and implying "They want to eliminate me because I am the greatest thing for the U.S". Remember how Claus von Stauffenberg left a little prize in the bunker and Hitler played up his being the chosen one and invincibility to the hilt. It's definitely going to be more of the same "I'm the victim here." And only a word in passing of the actually killed and injured.
ReplyDeleteBut we should wait and see the damage to his ear and the facts (hopefully)about the alleged shooter.
It's probably best to ignore anything you hear about it for at least a day or two.
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to get a complete story, its hard as none of the
ReplyDeletenews sites know of before, during, and currentl and rare is who,
what where, when, and why or how. With electronic news gathering
its mostly splashy headlines and really poor reporting.
False flag or psyop is in the air.
What seems to be known, two dead, two critically injured.
Of the dead is the shooter, a 20 year old registered republican.
The shooter was about 165 yards away on a roof and was killed by
the secret service security team. The rifle was of a AR15 flavor.
There is no information as of this AM on why.
The other three unidentified were attendees at the rally.
Opinion... I feel sowing hate and division a process COFF has
promoted has risks. That risk is those being enabled, and having
animus that needs action can easily have catastrophic effects.
Some of it is random and unfocused and even seem internally
directed. We have seen this.
Me I feel shooting COFF is too good for him. He aspires to be a
living martyr. I would be most pleased and better served to see
him in prison orange behind bars.
Eck!
It doesn't make sense to claim it was staged or a false flag. As DTWND says, the risk of actually killing Trump would have been too great. Using some kind of fake or non-lethal ammunition wouldn't work because the bullet would certainly be recovered by the authorities and the fakery detected (also, one person was actually killed).
ReplyDeleteGenuinely violent people do exist. It's frankly surprising that assassination attempts don't happen more often. There's no need to descend to wingnut-style conspiratardia.
There was one video where he's being hustled away but pumping his fist and calling 'Fight!' In the background you can see his supporters coming to their feet and also pumping their fists. Wannabe Brownshirt drama.
ReplyDeleteAnd his people have no thought that *they* might be the ones sowing dragon's teeth and setting loose the dogs of war. JD Vance claims it's directly related to the Biden campaign.
https://digbysblog.net/2024/07/13/the-reaction-2/
For a guy who has never been in a fight, never been in combat and whose only known acts of violence was engaging in wife-beating, Trump seemed remarkably poised.
ReplyDeleteJ.D. Vance is a political whore. He'd say or do anything to move up the ladder.
I am open to the idea that it was a staged event that almost went horribly wrong, which is what can happen when morons play with firearms. Could be the shot was supposed to miss by a bit more and, if a few supporters got killed, they're replaceable.
I’m inclined against false flag, on the balance of the evidence so far. While it “makes sense”, the data seems to make it far to risky an attempt. Additionally, I’d have expected a more obvious “target” in the shooter for a false flag…Antifa member, transgender illegal immigrant, Ukrainian, etc. At around 165 yards, the Army wants a recruit to simply hit a human sized target to qualify, so any sort of projectile is a grave risk. Wind drift, at even that short a range, is in the neighborhood of up to 1.25-1.75” in a cross wind, and even a mild quartering wind could have made that shot a lot more “interesting”.
ReplyDeleteThere is, of course, reasons and grounds for perhaps questioning things. He slapped his ear…felt a slug go by or split a blood pack? He reacted “strangely”…not understanding what happened or expected things that happened? Police and Secret Service didn’t react instantly to a bystander reporting a person crawling on a roof…with police providing security outside the venue, they had to cover their assigned area and not just run to some screaming “witness”, that takes time, and the SS (heh) was inside the venue looking out (plus, time is a weird thing, and I suspect the shooter was on the roof and noticed far less than the 2-3 minutes being discussed).
I would expect a false flag in this manner would have occurred too early, things will be revealed if it was arranged. If this was a false flag exercise, the time is right before the election, to minimize exposure and get the investigation under control as soon as possible. In sum, I see a disturbed individual, a lax gun culture, and lots of hate going around. I also see new gun restrictions coming, and that’s also out of a certain playbook…if you’re conspiracy minded.
What was the thing about his shoes? Did Trump take his shoes off, and why?
ReplyDeleteDid anyone check his diaper afterwards?
The understanding I have from all I can find is that the cuts
ReplyDeleteare from glass spray teleprompter being hit, not the bullet
itself.
The other injured parties are from the bullets. Save for the
shooter (prefer he was alive to tell his story), none deserved
to die or be injured.
So the person that did that was just another mass shooter with
political bent. He serves no one save for a fever dream.
Facts are in very short supply but the rah-rah is rather sick.
Eck!
NYT account is similar to the BBC. It looks like one of their photographers got a shot of the bullet.
ReplyDeleteDoug Mills, a veteran New York Times photographer, appeared to capture the image of a bullet streaking past former President Donald J. Trump’s head.
That is the assessment of Michael Harrigan, a retired F.B.I. special agent who spent 22 years in the bureau...
Mr. Mills was using a Sony digital camera capable of capturing images at up to 30 frames per second. He took these photos with a shutter speed of 1/8,000th of a second — extremely fast by industry standards.

Watching the replays on Lester Holt last night, it looked quite possible that this was staged. There was no apparent collateral damage in the crowd and bullies are cowards. We now know there was collateral damage, but what of cowards? It could simply the madness of Lawerence of Arabia or Hitler on invincibility

CenterPuke88: He slapped his ear…felt a slug go by or split a blood pack?
ReplyDeleteHis ear injury was undoubtedly examined by doctors. They would have been able to tell if it was faked or had been caused by something other than a bullet or flying glass. Many members of the Secret Service are probably also able to tell a faked injury from a real one at close quarters.
If there was some sort of conspiracy or fakery, the Secret Service and every doctor and nurse who might have ended up examining him (he was treated at a local hospital) would have had to be in on it. Not plausible.
It is interesting that the right leaning media is blaming Biden and his “Democracy is in Danger” message. Yet they ignore the “fight like hell”, “it’ll be a bloodbath”, “stand back and stand by”, beat the hell out of them”, and other messages calling for violence spoken by Trump. And allegedly the shooter was a Republican. So how again is this the Democrats fault?
ReplyDeleteYou reap what you sow?
Dale
Infidel753, I was simply pointing out the two sides to things…but, in response to that from you, I say the doctors might be in the bag, like the agents…it’s just an absolute rabbit hole when you get to conspiracy. Again, I lean real event over false flag. I do understand how and why the shooter is dead (he’s still on the roof with a gun, and God knows how much ammo), but I much prefer the idea of him talking.
ReplyDeleteI was on FB, where someone posted that "7/13 was an inside job".
ReplyDelete(I had to check the date, this doesn't, to me, seem like an incident worthy of being known by its date.)
So I responded "you're saying that this was a false flag operation by the Trump campaign?"
Much hilarity ensued...
