Almost half of the more than 280 pro-Palestinian protesters arrested at Columbia University and City College this week weren’t students or faculty at the schools, according to data released by Mayor Adams’ administration Thursday.
The issue of whether “outside agitators” were behind the encampment protests at Columbia and CCNY that culminated in the short-lived occupation of Columbia’s Hamilton Hall has become a focus of intense debate. Mayor Eric Adams, NYPD officials and college leaders have repeatedly said outsiders were influencing student behavior, while student protest leaders deny that’s the case.
So half of the "Columbia student protesters" had no affiliation with the school.
Compare and contrast that to the Trumpanzees who stormed the Capitol on 1/6/21. Every one of those who were later arrested, charged and convicted (a nearly 100% conviction rate, by the way) were pro-Trump rioters. None of them were people with no affiliation to Trump.
Also, the cops in NYC went in and arrested them on the spot. Unlike the Feds, they didn't let them all go home and then have to round them up later.
Both groups seem to think that they should be given a pass for ciminal behavior. Fuck every one of them.
I was guessing before about outside agitators, now we have proof.
ReplyDeleteCharges are minimally trespassing, breaking and entering, vandalism,
should seem in order.
But since there are outsiders conspiracy is also a possibility.
Eck!
What these agents provocateurs are doing is normalizing Jan 6, with the monkey media blowing it out of proportion with "bothsides" ... Joe Beer-Gut down at the bar or in the church pews isn't going to know the difference
ReplyDeleteIt's a plan, maam, Nixon almost got away with it ...
To me this is so reminiscent of the seventies complete with the outside agitators. CSN&Y quote "Young people speaking their minds" Your final statement is correct.

Slight correction it was Buffalo Springfield

Where do they get outside agitators from? Are they paid to show up? What a foul idea to begin with.
ReplyDeletew3ski
half of the ARRESTED protesters, not half of ALL of the protesters.
ReplyDeleteSo, what? The same point holds.
ReplyDeleteA little late to the party, but.......
ReplyDeleteWell, it’s happening in Portland, OR too. https://www.oregonlive.com/portland/2024/04/pro-palestinian-protesters-occupy-entrance-to-portland-state-library.html
“On Sunday, the sounds of hammers and drills punctured the otherwise quiet downtown campus as protesters appeared to build items near the north entrance to the library, which had been defaced by graffiti. The south entrance, meanwhile, remained open to students, faculty and others, at the request of President Ann Cudd, who met with protesters Saturday.”
Cudd is negotiating, but I want to know who will pay for the damages.
