Most but not all of our cats stay spotless. One fuzzy-brained guy with a perpetually stuffy nose doesn't do well and one big and floofy girl doesn't seem to have gotten the memo about self-bathing, or else is just too fat to bend. All of the other cats love their baths. If only our 2 dogs could pick up on that idea. They love being dirty. The only problem I have with the cats bathing is when they wait till the middle of the night and lay against my pillow while they clean. I wake up enough on my own and don't appreciate any additional wakeups. A clean and dry cat deserves a good snuggle.
