Everybody knew that the TOFF was going to win the Iowa caucuses. There wasn't any doubt about that. Anyone on the news who spends more than thirty seconds (OK, two minutes) on that story is a moron.

Our local TV news stations, especially the Fox one, were acting surprised that he won in a landslide (51%). Even CNN jumped on that bandwagon, but I don't think they are as far left as the RWNJ commenters like to claim.

As many commentators have noted, the interesting bit here is that 49% did NOT want Trump. The weather was reportedly bad, so the attendees were presumably *really* intent on making their view known.
ReplyDeleteIf that holds throughout the GOP in November, it is possible that an election-losing proportion of them will stay home, vote for a third party, or (probably not many) vote for Biden.
