The Networks Have the Attention Span of Goldfish

In case you've forgotten, there is still a war going on in Eastern Europe. All the TV correspondents have moved on to the Israel-Hamas war.

The Russians are still terrorizing civilians with missile strikes. The Ukrainians are still hitting Russian military assets behind the front lines and assassinating collaborators in Russian-occupied territories.

And the Republicans still have a significant number of politicians who are backing Putin because they hate free nations and support dictatorships.

  1. Most of my life the news cycle was about 3 days...
That was when a topic became old fish and the fresh
fish arrived to stimulate the eyeball count and entice
    advertisers.

Last few decades the cycle is shorter as the fish boats
arrive every few hours now. Doesn't mean the quality
is better, just more new fish.

that applies to non domestic wars and conflicts unless
we are directly involved. Example we were in Viet Nam
and it was news every night for years.

    So, same shit, different day.

    Eck!

  2. Never forget that news is a business. They are doing what sells.

  3. After the '60's, the corporations made sure to take total control of Mass Media. The political upheavals of that decade shock them badly and they decided to clam down of that as much as possible.

However, in doing so the created the monster that is MAGA and now they've lost control of that thing to high end carnival barker and wannabe mob boss.
