Hamas militants fired thousands of rockets and sent dozens of fighters into Israeli towns near the Gaza Strip in an unprecedented surprise early morning attack during a major Jewish holiday Saturday, killing dozens and stunning the country. Israel said it is now at war with Hamas and launched airstrikes in Gaza, vowing to inflict an “unprecedented price.”
Fifty years after the Yom Kippur War, Hamas pulls off a surprise attack. Was Israeli intelligence paralyzed by the disfunction going on inside of Israel as the religious zealots try to seize power (sound familiar)?
Whatever happens, Hamas will have united the Israeli population behind Netanyahu and also will have smothered any reservations the Biden Administration had about Netanyahu. So on that regard, any hope of driving a wedge between Israel and America died as soon as the first rocket landed. Israel will crush the attack and the lives of the people in Gaza will become even more mired in misery. Gaza will even more become an open-air prison.
Meanwhile, it has occurred to me that if there is anyone in this nation who fulfils the role of the Antichrist, it is the TOFF. And those who worship at his feet are in the Church of the Antichrist, which includes a large majority of those who call themselves evangelicals. They worship evil masquerading as goodness.
I suspect this is Hamas/Iran working to poison the Saudi/Israel accords. If Bibi doesn’t restrain himself, Hamas/Iran will likely get what they desire here. Hamas looks at the long view, with the thought that Iran will eventually provide them with the key or means of destroying Israel, either effectively or physically. If Bibi goes all in on the attack on Gaza, as is his wont, it will likely result in a number of deaths of captured Israelis and lots of propaganda pictures of dead Palestinians to contrast against those dead Israelis.
ReplyDeleteIt’s a very problematic situation, and one that Bibi is terribly unsuited to lead. For instance, he sends a message to Palestinians to “leave Gaza”…really, where and how? It plays well in a sound bite, but it faces a reality that they cannot (and that’s another issue where the Arabs and the Israelis share the blame), and will eventually be crafted into an attack on him. The hardline lurch of the Israeli governments has built to this point, and now we will see how it plays out.
My thoughts exactly on the TOFF.
ReplyDeleteI've often commented about Pop in law's religulious nature. But you have to include pretty much any xian religion not just the evangelical maniacs. the Pentecostal lunatics probably run a close second. His last email to his daughter reminded her to pray for the return of god's anointed to the White House. All the puzzle pieces are falling into place. And the month of October is when Satan cast's his net among us. (Crap that was sister in law's email) But I guess I should look on the bright side, Ronna McDaniel did point out that the war in Israel couldn't have come at a better time as it will be a good time for the candidates to point out the obvious failure of the Biden administration's failure to defend Bibi. Kind of a class half full take on the sistuation.
ReplyDeleteI would not be surprised to learn that the Russians had egged on Hamas in order to distract the West from Russia's war in Ukraine.
ReplyDeleteComrade, a little extra technology transfer from Russia for the Iranian drones to give some to Hamas?
ReplyDeleteCP88, the Russians will have had to cover their tracks. Israel hasn't been very helpful to Ukraine because it's been in their interest to make nice with the Russians. If the Russians helped Hamas, that may change Israel's calculation.
ReplyDeleteComrade, but the West supporting the Israeli attacking and occupying Gaza is an interesting thing considering Ukraine and Russia. No, it’s not comparable, but it wont stop them. If Russia can’t have part of Ukraine, why should Israel not have to return to the 1967 or 1948 borders, is the possible Russian position…just saying. Also, aid to Israel from the U.S. is likely to come at a cost on aid to Ukraine in this time of yet another generated Republican budget crisis.
ReplyDeleteCP88, nearly fifteen years ago, I had some thoughts about that. I think it still holds up.
ReplyDeleteCM - Arafat was a rat bastard in NC lingo. Clinton gave him pretty everything he wanted and he backed out. The US is moving a carrier group in.
ReplyDeleteThe bible and antichrist of our times?

I know some smart and capable folks that thought Martin Luther screwed up by putting revelations in the Lutheran bible.
After the Palestinians slaughtered over 250 people at a music festival, I expect that the prevailing attitude in Israel will be “kill them all”.
ReplyDeleteAs predicted, food, electricity and water cut off to Gaza Strip. The Israeli Army is about to push into Gaza, and we will see another generation of Gaza residents turned further into absolute hatred of Israel. Yes, they’ve already been taught that, due to conditions and Hamas, but it’s so frustrating to see two sides refusing to put human faces on each other. If the sky fairy both sides profess to worship exists, I’d love to hear his/her/their thoughts.
ReplyDeleteIf one believes in "a sign from Heaven", Trump doing a PR stunt while holding a bible UPSIDE DOWN surely counted as one.
