Trump White House official Peter Navarro was convicted Thursday of contempt of Congress charges for refusing to cooperate with a congressional investigation into the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Navarro offered no testimony to support his attorney's claim of executive privilege, so he lost. It appears that he's hoping that a Republican will win next year and pardon his ass.
Perhaps the TOFF's continuing tainting of the jury pool will render all this a moot point.
ReplyDeletealso, I think he pretty much blew their case out of the water when he declared he can do anything he wants. And Gym Jordan is going to simply shut down the Georgia cases because he's furious. At least we tried.
I was listening to a local radio call in show yesterday and just for giggles the host asked the usual question guilty or not guilty. not guilty of anything was the response of 80% callers. One in particular was really cringy. a real estate developer and appraiser from a pretty exclusive zip code North of Chicago said Trump is an American hero and he can't wait for when we go back to the days of 2016-2020. Go figure.
I doubt very much if Gym Jordan can shut down the Georgia trial.
ReplyDeleteNew nickname for Gym: The Trump Chihuahua.
ReplyDeleteFani Willis sent the Chihuahua a nine-page letter that tells him, in extended legalese, to go shit in his hat.
I'm just sayin' he's pretty mad and there WILL be a congressional investigation. Right after we shut down the gummint.
ReplyDeleteBefore or after they try to impeach Biden because his son's a tool.
ReplyDeleteNotice that we've not heard a single Republican criticize Jared the Boy Wonder for taking $4B from the Arabs.
