ReplyDeleteI knew they had wingtip wheels, but never saw the twisted landing gear sideways roll feature before. Pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteAs a young lad during the Vietnam War, the B-52's came and went at all hours of the day and night from Westover AFB in Chicopee, MA. My grandparents lived in the flight path and the planes were not very high up as they flew over at full throttle, shaking the old house and rattling the windows. I ran to the window or looked up at every single one that flew over, never tiring of watching them fly in what seemed to be slow motion.
One tough aircraft. Brings back a jet load of memories.
