AS far as I know 4014 has done this several times before.
ReplyDeleteAnother case was a stalled double stack consist going up
one of the more famous hills. I think they lost an engine
and 4014 was on the track and was given the dispatch to push.
Blair Hill back in 2019 was such a case but there were others.
It easy to forget the Big Boys were designed to haul large
consists over the terrain back when to supplant the dual
and triple 484s that were in use. If I have it right it
was also used when being relocated to haul revenue freight
loads.
