Not Holding My Breath for the Perp-Walk

Former President Donald Trump has been invited to testify before a New York grand jury that has been investigating hush money payments made on his behalf during his 2016 presidential campaign, according to one of his lawyers.

Why is this significant, you may ask. This is why:

In New York, potential defendants have the right to answer questions in the grand jury before they are indicted, but they rarely testify, and Mr. Trump is likely to decline the offer.

Teflon Don has conducted his entire "business" career as though he was in danger of being indicted. He's basically a gutless crime boss. But I'm not holding my breath that he'll finally be brought to justice.

  1. Let's say he's indicted. He'll just ignore it. If they take him into custody he says the magic words "The storm is upon us" At the least it starts a chain reaction of Electrical station attacks, pot shots at state capitals, truck loads of nails on interstate highways etc. at worst they get lucky and blow up oil refineries, shut down airports etc. He knows they won't dare indict him and that's going to get him back in the Whitehouse. In my alternative universe, I would love to live long enough to wake up to " For those of you just joining us, Donald Trump was viciously and unceremoniously take into custody in a predawn raid at Merde A Lardo this morning to to the moans and wails of tens of hundreds of his supporters. At the same time Tucker Carlson was stopped form fleeing the country after his Gulfstream business jet was stopped on a taxiway at an unnamed New York airport. The jet had filed a flight plan to Budapest Hungary.......

  3. Oil tankers Cap'n, repurposed oil tankers: round them up, at gunpoint if need be, strip them of everything from car keys to credit cards ~ cell phones, clothes, citizenship ~ and if not march them naked down Fifth Avenue stuff them into cattle-cars and 'escort' them (for their own safety, of course) to a repurposed oil tanker to deport them to a camp in Russia.

    There is an alternative ...

  6. Seafury, it’s an interesting scenario, but I don’t think it would occur. There would be a few occurrences quickly, but there would also be a very sudden reaction that would result in a large number of those “patriots” being arrested or shot dead. The vast majority are all talk and no action, and the action group tend to be the dilettante style that we saw in D.C. taking selfies and using their tracking devices. The hardcode is likely insufficient to cause the total chaos you suggest, especially as law enforcement and the military get turned loose on them after they cause harm to the friends and family of them.

    May all TFG's be nightmares.....
