I'm not going to quote the post, all y'all can do her the courtesy of reading it on her blog.
There have been quite a few times that I have diasgreed with her take on things. Having said that, I have never found her to be anything but reasoned and considerate. She'll listen to opposing points of view, but if you act the ass, she's no compunction about swinging the ol' banhammer.
Sadly, that hasn't been true for several years.

Maybe, after decades of dealing with condescending assholes, which she undoubtedly has a lot of experience because she’s in a technical field, her Tank of Patience has run low.
How about “typical of someone who has spent too much time dealing with chauvinistic dickheads”?

ReplyDeleteI'd buy that, except she simply ignores ALL dissenting opinion, no matter who it is from. She was once revered amongst the Indiana bloggers, both male and female. Not so much anymore.
Having known her personally for more than 15 years, I think I know more about her changes than you. Sadly, none of the bloggers (myself included) associate with her any more due to her change in behavior. Perhaps you should not jump to conclusions about details of which you know nothing. Her behavior changes have nothing to do with Chauvinist dickheads and more to do with her refusing to hear or acknowledge any position but her own. Even you are more open to learning. She is not any longer. And yes, it is a behavior of old ladies.
