The Justice Department is establishing a specialized unit focused on domestic terrorism, the department’s top national security official told lawmakers Tuesday as he described an “elevated” threat from violent extremists in the United States.
The threat from violent right-wing extremists is not a new issue. Right-wing terrorism has been a problem for a long time. When the DHS began, belatedly, to look at it, the GOP had a cow, because the right-wing terrorists are from their base.

In my youth and as a product of where I lived at the time, Berkeley of the 60s' I grew up with a whole different attitude towards Police and the law.
ReplyDeleteMy attitudes have grown and changed a bit in my later years.
I want these Seditious Traitors locked up and doing hard time. Whatever happened to the "law and order" crowd?
We have fallen so low, that being a Traitor is acceptable for a previous administration and its leader.
And now they have the nerve to call themselves Patriots?

Worse than disband the domestic terrorism unit, the next trumpian in the White House is going to convert the unit to focus instead on "Black Lives Matter" and "Antifa" as the terrorists. Even as the Proud Boys and neo-Nazis and KKK wingnuts march openly across every street with their guns out and their rage on.
ReplyDeletew3ski: Yeah, it really pisses me off that these creeps who call themselves patriots have me rooting for the goddamn cops. Pissed off or no, the cops really need to win this one.

The police themselves have a nazi problem of unknown extent that was allowed to grow unopposed due to lack of oversight. Covid vaccine freakout by their unions was a tell, and a missed opportunity to cull the herd.
