Lara Trump, the Fox News contributor and wife of Eric Trump, has bizarrely claimed that the rising cost of the Thanksgiving turkey is part of a liberal plot to “chip away” at American traditions.

“They don’t want us to have any common ground. They don’t want us to have any shared traditions like Thanksgiving. A lot of places last month actually did away with Halloween because they wanted to be inclusive of the people that didn’t celebrate Halloween,” Trump added.

Something is not quite right with that girl, bless her heart.

If my memory serves me correctly, the people who have been against Halloween have been a number of the most-loyal supporters of her father-in-law; the very people who claim to be part of the "moral majority", but who can overlook the whoring and cheating and corruption and criminal activities of Herr Gropenführer.

Let's be clear on one point: The Right excels at divisive culture wars. Trumpette is merely engaging in an expansion of her father's party old Southern Strategy, something that the so-called "Last Republican" shares a goodly amount of blame for doing.
