A blog by a "sucker" and a "loser" who served her country in the Navy.
If you're one of the Covidiots who believe that COVID-19 is "just the flu", that the 2020 election was stolen, or especially if you supported the 1/6/21 insurrection, leave now.
The people identify with their animals. They will try to keep them alive. We will try to do that. Most of the people around here are trump cultists. I still don't understand.
yep. I'm involved in a social activity that's trying to resume (with everyone attending vaccinated) that's' being blocked by a retired IBM engineer who believes ivermectin will protect him and won't vaxx. Mind you, he's fine with all other vaccinations, but has some weird fever dream that the Covid vaxx is lethal....and Lord help us, is *smug* about his opposition, not heistant, but *smug* in being the one with authoritative knowledge known only to the Idiot Select. We now have a new substantive faith, the Idiot Calvinists.
If you're going to self-dose a drug because of shit you read on the Internet, then sorry, you are an idiot. If you're going to use a drug off-label but under a doctor's supervision, that's another thing entirely.
Here’s What You Need to Know about Ivermectin FDA has not approved ivermectin for use in treating or preventing COVID-19 in humans. Ivermectin tablets are approved at very specific doses for some parasitic worms, and there are topical (on the skin) formulations for head lice and skin conditions like rosacea. Ivermectin is not an anti-viral (a drug for treating viruses). Taking large doses of this drug is dangerous and can cause serious harm. If you have a prescription for ivermectin for an FDA-approved use, get it from a legitimate source and take it exactly as prescribed. Never use medications intended for animals on yourself. Ivermectin preparations for animals are very different from those approved for humans.
Ivermectin Products for Animals Are Different from Ivermectin Products for People For one thing, animal drugs are often highly concentrated because they are used for large animals like horses and cows, which can weigh a lot more than we do—a ton or more. Such high doses can be highly toxic in humans.
Moreover, FDA reviews drugs not just for safety and effectiveness of the active ingredients, but also for the inactive ingredients. Many inactive ingredients found in animal products aren’t evaluated for use in people. Or they are included in much greater quantity than those used in people. In some cases, we don’t know how those inactive ingredients will affect how ivermectin is absorbed in the human body.
Meanwhile, effective ways to limit the spread of COVID-19 continue to be to wear your mask, stay at least 6 feet from others who don’t live with you, wash hands frequently, and avoid crowds.
B, explain the difference between a competitive and non-competitive inhibitor.
Explain why the processing of alcohol in the human body is referred to as pseudo-first order kinetics.
Explain how drugs in the penicillin family inhibit bacterial growth, and if they should be used on Gram-positive or Gram-negative organisms.
Then I’ll consider your advice on the same level as that of the FDA.
But on the bright side the treason cultists won't be bothered any more by equine parasites. Or living any longer when covid takes them under the dirt. You hate to see it. Bless their little pea picking hearts.
Ahh, You trust in the orthodoxy far too much. People make their own informed decisions, and live with the consequences. So far, what has been said and done by the USG in regards to the Chinese bioweapon, has been bullshit. To reach out and present a sliver of the information is (OMG ppl taking cow toothpaste!) your prerogative. a prophylaxis of ivermectin, zinc and vitamin D has been shown, worldwide, to make more of a difference than the everpresent face diaper and shots. It, however, does not make big pharma rich, and would make the imbeciles in charge appear to be more imbecilic than they already are. Do you trust in the AFT (ATF) to make the best decisions on the firearms you should be allowed? Do you not wonder why you cannot get a decent small diesel truck in the US when used worldwide? Why did the Obama administration send pallets of cash to our adversaries and lie about it? Did Hillary really think Chlorox when questioned about destroying her server?
Covid is going to kill those whom are already at risk and exposed etc. Science has been politicized to the point that real results from the use of ivermectin/zinc/D are not going to make it into publication. Facebook/Twitter et al (the red police) ensure noone speaks against the message.
I have been jabbed, flown to Australia with a planeload of US Mil personnel, all jabbed as well, and still had to quarantine, wear a mask, wash in copious amounts of sanitizer, and still had people get sick. Tell me, what then, is the solution to this? Burn more MJ incense at the shrine of Pelosi in the foyer? Make another donation to PETA or Planned Parenthood or the DNC?
None of you here want a free exchange of ideas, you want the iron fist of Government to tell us all how to live. Noone has come to your door to fill your mouth with ivermectin, but you will get a knock to check your vax status.
See what is going on in Afghanistan to show you why trust in your government is overrated. Just get to the airport, all is fine.
Just wondering, Gromit, what are the “ real results” from the use of ivermectin/zinc/D worldwide. And how did you come to obtain this information? Did you travel the world to conduct this survey? Did you do the testing using scientific protocols by having a control group to contrast the results of your study? Or are you like the rest of us and get information from news outlets and then determine which ones to believe? My inquiring mind would like to know?
Any trials with n=72 or other small numbers are highly suspect if the results are not clear cut. In humans you need a larger and more varied group for any "trails" to be coherent.
But hey we have a vaccine with N>200,000,000 that prevents it.
This has roots that go back to april of 2020 and at placed like Cedars-Sinai and Stony brook University hospital.
There is a trial... https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04865029 Estrogen and progesterone seem to help as well, Especially in men. However do pay attention to the side effects.
Fair number of peer reviewed test and write up and here in the USA rather than foreign countries.
Hint the same regime is used for male to female transsexuals.
Seems we know a little more about how the immune system works and what things may influence its behaviour.
In the end the real trick is to not kill or maim the patient.
B, I did read your link. Although the data seems to indicate promise, I’d like to know if there are other factors that influence the results. Some of the factors would be blood types, diet, BMI, fitness levels, etc. I grew up on a farm in the thumb area of Michigan and saw the usage of ivermectin. Additionally, my wife is a licensed animal rehabilitator and have seen the effects of ivermectin on mammals that she has taken in. That being said, I personally would not ingest chemicals meant for animals.
But I’m not going to tell others how to live their lives.
Dale: I would prefer not to take Ivermectin either. However, as you point out, it has promise...and it is cheap, and it appears to work to reduce or eliminate many of the issues with Covid(s) (Not just -19). We know the (very small) side effects, and can deal with them. I'm not a big one for self medication, but there are those who are, and it is a free country. Some are stupid enough to overdose and harm themselves, but that is their right. Vitamin D beforehand seems to have a great influence on symptom severity as well (which *might* explain why urban black people in northern climates have greater issues with covid than similarly-advantaged whites....that melanin tends to block the production of vitamin D when (if) they go outside).
TO say, however, that ivermectin does not work, as some here have (and many in the CDC and Fauci and his minions), is wrong. It isn't the whole answer, but it is a part of it. If it even helps, then why not continue to try to use it to save lives as it has in India? The side effects are still better than death, at lest for most people.
and, again, I think the dude referred to in the OP is an idiot and we have seen Darwin's hand in his demise.
Grommet, I didn’t see anything in the original article about Pelosi worship. Are you and the other kids in the barn trying to own the libs again?
B, you said properly dosed. How is a proper dose determined? And I wouldn’t risk my life on the basis of exactly one peer-reviewed paper, but then I actually understand statistics and how falsification works.
DA: IF you can't figure a dosage , then you are as poorly informed as I stated in my comment that was removed. You claim to know statistics, but it is OBVIOUS that you really don't. If you bother to look, there are numerous studies on Ivermectin and it's efficacy in reducing the effects of Covid symptoms.
It's odd how you will argue, poorly, that a single study that supports a position you think is a good one, but then say shit like your above....But then again, you have those double standards.... If I am wrong, or the studies are wrong, feel free to refute them.
DA: IF you can't figure a dosage , then you are as poorly informed as I stated in my comment that was removed.
No, my question is how do you calculate it. I’m not worried about a dosage since I’m not stupid enough to take something based on one or several studies. Don’t know why you refuse to believe all the studies showing COVID vaccine is a better protection than a post-infection treatment, but here we are.
Answer my questions above, then I’ll give you as much credibility as the FDA.
Dr. O’Neal says, while Ivermectin does have some antiviral properties, the latest studies show it doesn’t work against the coronavirus.
“Through the Spring we got better data. That says it doesn’t. So, now we have to let it go. We’ve tried lots of things during this pandemic, some have worked, some have not. Ivermectin doesn’t work,” said Dr. O’Neal.
Dr. Aldo Russo over at Ochsner Baton Rouge agrees.
“It appeared to have some sort of effect on the virus in-vitro, meaning in the lab. Now when the research continued in humans with COVID-19, the medication was not beneficial at all,” said Dr. Aldo Russo, Regional Medical Director for Ochsner Baton Rouge.
DA: If you cannot figure out that one bases dosage on gender, and body mass, with age as a factor, then you are unable to understand the rest of the answer. I'm not gonna bother to give you the whole, detailed answer because last time I did so, you demonstrated your lack of background and ability to even understand the details...I'd say more, but our hostess has asked me not to be rude and to tone it down, so I won't comment on you level of native intelligence as per your ability to understand. You posted article is sorely lacking. Surely you could come up with something besides a news story to refute the claims of those Peer Reviewed studies by epidemiologists? I'm done arguing with you about this. You've taken a stand just to be confrontational, with zero knowledge and zero background, and I'm done with you on this. Have a nice day.
Short list of agents that have known anti-viral properties invitro.
Alcohols, such as isopropanol and methanol, bleaches, most caustics like sodium hydroxide, Acids such as sulphuric and hydrochloric detergents, organic solvents such as acetone and MEK Petrochemical solvents, including gasoline.
So far there are none there that are safe taken internally and many are not safe topically for the skin. Reductio ad absurdum, though I applied the same logic given here.
As to doseage, drugs for animals are formulated often differently and with nonhuman standards. What that means, kill a cow you out far less money then if you kill someones kid and get sued. That fine line of property vs people. In practical terms buffers and augments not usually used for humans may be used for food stock and other farm animals.
As to would I, oh hell no! Vaccine has track record many times better and is preventative. These days prevention is worth a lot more than mitigation if covid is contracted.
Properly doses, it does seem to help reduce Covid symptoms.
