The Department of the Air Force has officially activated its Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM), the third field command of the U.S. Space Force. Brig. Gen. Shawn Bratton, who has been leading the STARCOM planning team since February 2021, assumed command of STARCOM in a ceremony held at Colorado’s Peterson Space Force Base on Monday. Five STARCOM deltas, subordinate commands made up of squadrons focused on specific tactics, were also activated during the ceremony.
"Starcom"? Really? They couldn't figure out a way to put "fleet" into the middle of that?
It's about what I would expect from the
Kids! Do you want the prestige of military service without the risk of ever being shot at? Then the Space Force is for you!
Go along to get along. Nothing new in this. So the atmospheric AF mascot is the eagle and the vacuum volks have the raccoon?
ReplyDeleteDrone warfare is older than the Vietnam War too, just more deadly and detached lately. 3rd world middle eastern rebels often throw captured pilots in cages and burn them up with petrol similar to the jet jocks' napalm bombs. Imagine what the jihadis would do to the Nevada drone cubicle farm if they could get transport. Gruesome. But also fair? This is why snipers were routinely shot when captured. See, I can reach out and touch you too, motherfucker.
There might not be any non-combatants now but that will change as soon as the "red shirts" come off back order.
ReplyDeleteI like the BABY BLUE COMBAT KNIFE. https://images.app.goo.gl/mQyYwxTKtGpCGVdw5
