When my friend John moved back to East Oakland, he tried that trick, left the TV and furniture he wanted to get rid of in the back of his truck parked at the curb.
ReplyDeleteWhen it didn't work, he said "Oh yeah, I forgot the important part" and went to his truck with a rope and tied it all down.
It was all gone the next morning.

It's true.
ReplyDeletePile shit at the curb and folks won't take it, even if it has a "Free" sign on it.
Put a sign that says "$50" and it will disappear like it fell into a black hole.
Not recommended for ecological reasons. The thieves will smash it instead of recycling it.
