What Ted Cruz and Other Criminals Have in Common

When critters are often pinched by the po-po, they don't consider that they might not have gotten arrested if they didn't do crimes. No, they blame their arrest on somebody snitching.

So it is with Flyin' Ted, AKA Cancun Cruz, AKA Carribean Cruz:

In an appearance on the conservative Ruthless podcast, Cruz got particularly salty about his Houston neighbors, who he appears to believe leaked texts from his wife about the planned trip. “Heidi is pretty pissed about that,” said Cruz when asked about the texts, which showed her complaining about her “freezing” home and trying to get others to flee the city with them. Cruz appeared to lay the blame for the leaks on his Democrat-supporting neighbors, saying the leak was a sign of “how ridiculously politicized and nasty” politics has become in the nation and, more specifically, on his street. “Here’s a suggestion, just don’t be assholes,” said the senator. “Treat each other as human beings, have some degree, some modicum of respect.”

That is just too rich. Rafael Theodore Cruz has built his career on being an asshole. It's widely known that Cruz is the most hated senator in the U.S. Senate.

It was a particularly asshole move for a public official to fly to Mexico when millions of his constituents were freezing in the dark. It adds to the assholery to whine about getting caught at it.

But that's what Cruz is: A professional, world-class asshole.

  1. For the GQP assholeosity is a feature, not a bug. The true Texas Trumpite Republican (and there are no other kinds at this point) knows that owning the libs is the only goal. Policy, smolicy, cruelty and punching down at the little people is what they want. Sure, it does nothing for the non-1%ers in the failed party. But it makes them feel so good to inflict harm on immigrants, the poor, women, brown and black people. Libruls. That's the only point. If you are down then I must be up. The GQP, making deplorables happy for over fifty years.

  2. Our Quban Canadian (quite possibly) illegal alien?

I'm no lib, so I could be mistaken, but the view from the hinterlands isn't of owning the "libs" - more like owning themselves and are too damned stupid to see it. I don't necessarily want to say anything, it's like that crazy Auntie Fay at Thanksgiving: funnier than fawk, I don't her to stop.

Think Operation Just Let Them Speak mixed with G'Ma's admonishment to closed mouths.

  3. It's not so amazing that Teddy's "attributes" are so visible now. How long can a pile of shit hide its stink after all?
What's amazing to me is that his manicured and manufactured district will go on supporting him no matter what. He is a product of gerrymandering and he could not exist without it.
Probably many of his district were already in Cancun and wishing they could do selfies with their hired pool boy.
Sure the rest of the country as well as most of his State want him to become a snail that was salted, but his little slice of actual electing voters still love him.
Gerrymandering is what we really need to stop.
    Just saying

  4. w3ski, um, he's a senator, not a congressman. Senators are elected on statewide votes. No gerrymandering.

  5. Well, he was first elected in a special election in which he became the senator of a state with 29 million people with around 600,000 votes.
Which gave some sane people hope that when faced with a real election, he would lose, but the good folks of Texas disabused us of that notion in 2018.

  6. And he left the one creature (other than his family) that loved him, the dog, behind in the cold. Hate to break it to you, Snowflake (the dog's name), but you got a psychopath for an owner...and he despises snowflakes.

  8. "A professional, world-class asshole"

Which is why I hate him. I will never be nearly as good at it as he is, despite my careful study and diligent efforts. He is like the Mozart of assholery, while I am a mere Salieri.

  9. What Ted Cruz and Other Criminals Have in Common They don't adhere to moral principles.
If I did business in the same manner as government actors do, and forced strangers to give me money, would you consider me a criminal?
