This Couldn't Have Happened to a More Deserving Bunch

One could say "paranoia will destroy ya."

As federal authorities crack down on the far right after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, the movement’s leaders have found new sources of suspicion: each other.

In the Trumpist “America First” movement and the far-right paramilitary group the Proud Boys, alliances are fracturing as extremists brand each other as potential informants. Now racist live-streamers are accusing their former comrades of attempting to turn over followers to law enforcement, while Proud Boys chapters are splintering from the national organization over similar fears.

But there is good cause for them to be paranoid. Guys involved in those groups can either go to work for the Feds or run the risk of being scooped up in an investigation when the FBI arrests the Incompetent Loudmouths of the Month. One guy, possibly an informant himself, will suggest that the group take some sort of direct action that will, inevitably, lead to indictments and arrests.

The smart ones who don't want any part of it will change their email addresses, get new cell phones, change their watering holes and be very diligent in not having anything to do with any of those in the groups.

Welcome to my world. In forty-five years you too can make smart-assed remarks about it.

I'm on record public protest, left right good bad or indifferent, is a waste of time.

  2. Who needs informants when you hire a marching band to announce the next meeting of your Seecret Klub 2 Assassassinate Librul Tiranny?
Jeez, if only Lenin had been this incredibly inept at revolution.....

  3. Bless their hearts, all of them.

It just makes me smile and cringe.

Its a side effect of the ubiquitous digital camera and those on
posts and poles everywhere. It rewards dumb and stupid with
those deserved prizes no one wants. Next stop eyes in the
    sky watching the blind spots.

TB, no smart ass remarks about it. Its gone from bad and
biased to worse. The rest of us may even understand it a
bit more first hand. Only the other guy gets away with it.

  5. Disturbingly, I agree with Ten Bears.

Public Protest is indeed a waste of time.
