House Democrats planned a showdown vote for Thursday over stripping Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of her committee assignments over her endorsement of racist and conspiratorial views, as the chamber’s top Republican signaled he would not bow to bipartisan demands to punish her.
Since the Republicans will not move against Greene, they own her. They own everything that she says, that she stands for. And very much this and this.
Remember this: U.S. Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick was killed by insurrectionists who were of the same stripe and flavor of Greene. The Republicans will honor Sicknick but will take no action against those who egged on the killers.
Looks great: Congressman Kevin McCarthy (Q-CA); Senator Raphael "Ted" Cruz (Q-TX) ...
ReplyDeleteTheir insolence makes FucQ a whole new thing.
ReplyDeleteThe real problem is they will own nothing and blame it on everyone else.
Repeat the last four years of "i'm Not responsible" and rinse, lather, repeat.
Someone has to have their feet to the fire so they may see the light.
Maybe if a few start to smell smoke and feel pain they will snap to
reality or cease ot be a problem.
Eck!
Fox didn't mention the slain officer's memorial service. Some blue lives matter but not all?
ReplyDeleteHow did we get to the place where Liz Cheney is the voice of reason?

The GOP doesn't own Greene: She owns them

ReplyDeleteWilliam Burroughs
Just read that MTG got a standing ovation when she spoke at a house rethuglican conference last night. Sigh. Hey Dark Avenger that Wm S Burroughs comment is spot on.
ReplyDeleteJunk just makes me want to shoot a shot glass off my wife's head. Going back to paragoric.
ReplyDeleteI read that the Republicans voted to not strip Greene of her congressional committees by acclamation, but they had a ballot as to whether or not to keep Liz Cheney in her leadership position.
ReplyDeleteThat says a lot about where their party stands. And it says nothing good.
The Qthugs own their crap. As Sgt Schultz would say "I know nothing."
ReplyDeleteand they as well.
It is funny as the former rethugs need Greene to keep what power
they have if they toss her it may be literally one down. However,
Greene does not need them. Side effect of being totally batshit
crazy.
Maybe Qthugs are the End Of an Error.
Eck!
Except for the fact that he may ahve died from other causes:
ReplyDelete"According to one law enforcement official, medical examiners did not find signs that the officer sustained any blunt force trauma, so investigators believe that early reports that he was fatally struck by a fire extinguisher are not true."
and they have not yet released his autopsy report...funny that.
(CNN, BTW, so you can tell me it is a "Biased Source")
https://www.cnn.com/2021/02/02/politics/brian-sicknick-charges/index.html
But I know it fits in with you bias, and your Trump (and his "followers") Derangement Syndrome.. so go ahead, be delusional. Don't let facts get in the way of your hatred or condemnation....
Jesus caramel colored christ on a pogo stick, B, he's fucking dead. They killed him.
ReplyDeleteThis is a low stoop to support vicious propaganda even for you.
-Doug in Sugar Pine
Yeah, yeah, if he had died in a BLM protest, you’d be screaming blue bloody murder, B, instead of conjuring up excuses.
ReplyDeleteYour side lies when they claim “blue lives matter.”

ReplyDeleteWASHINGTON — Brian D. Sicknick, the Capitol Police officer who died from injuries sustained during the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol, lay in honor on Wednesday in the building he once protected, his remains carried out for a final time through doors still shattered by the rampage.
You don't know why he died. Neither do I.
ReplyDeleteEarly reports were in error. It may be that he died from something the rioters did, and it may not be so. We simply don't know.
Interesting that even CNN admitted that.
But go ahead, let your bias drive you. Place blame according to a now refuted report. It fits, after all, what you WANT to believe.
In Sicknick's case, it's still not known publicly what caused him to collapse the night of the insurrection. Findings from a medical examiner's review have not yet been released and authorities have not made any announcements about that ongoing process.
ReplyDeleteUntil we have the ME’s report, you might quit spreading your goddamned propaganda once again. Do Blue Lives Matter or not?
“The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but that's the way to bet.”
Daymon Runyon.
And we all know that if a BLM protestors died under such circumstances, you’d be all for sweeping it under the rug.
That’s consistently of some sort, I guess.
I find it hard to believe, B, that if a cop died during a BLM protest, that you would be saying "oh, maybe there was some underlying cause, let's wait until the ME rules, maybe he was hit by a glacing blow from a Jewish space laser or something."
ReplyDeleteI find it very hard to believe, indeed.
To the Right, Blue Lives Matter, unless the cop is killed by one of foaming mobds of Wingnuts. Then it's "let's wait for all of the evidence to come in", with an undercurrent of "if he wasn't opposing white speech, he'd still be alive."
We are where we have been before: Mob viilence by white supremacists is winked at by the Right and, to a large extent, by the cops.
"Until we have the ME’s report, you might quit spreading your goddamned propaganda once again."
ReplyDeleteBit of the Pot and Kettle there, doncha think?
Or is it that double standard there again, wherein what you want to believe is ok to put forth, but those (poosibly) inconvenient truths are supposed to be silenced?
You make my point though...We.Don't.Know. why he died. You want to blame the rioters. I say wait until you know the cause of death before tossing blame....which is (oddly) where you calim I am spreading "Goddamned Propaganda"...because I say wait to be sure rather than blame folks you dislike. Says something about you that saying "Wait for the facts" is somehow angering to you.....
He just happened to die coincidentally after his encounter with the protestors, B? Is that your story? Why doesn’t this Blue Life matter to you?
ReplyDeleteAs for waiting for the facts, your opinion is already formed.
As is yours, apparently, DA.
ReplyDeleteI will wait and see what the findings are before condemning anyone, unlike you. You (and our hostess) apparently care little for facts, you've made up your mind.
But thta is a trait of Liberals, Innit? Follow whatever the leaders tell you to believe, hate those who you are told to hate.
THis topic is but one fine example.
I am saying "wait 'til the facts come out".... you have already condemned those who you wish to blame, even though evidence saus he was NOT struck by a fire extinguisher. You can't make the swithch from media story (or DNC lede) to reality. You've already made up your mind, and facts be damned.
Funny how some of the cops suffered injuries but this guy must’ve died of causes unrelated to the riot.
ReplyDeleteDon’t pee on my shoes and insist that it’s raining.
