Scotland's first minister says Donald Trump shouldn't travel to the country to play golf.
Commenting on reports that the US president may be planning such a trip, Nicola Sturgeon said only essential travel was allowed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
There has been media speculation that Mr Trump may be planning a trip to Scotland to avoid attending the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden on 20 January.
This comes from a report that a Special Air Mission USAF 757 will fly to Scotland on the 19th.
None of this is surprising. Trump is both infantile and a sore loser. The adult thing would be to sack up and honor tradition by appearing for the swearing in, which Howard Taft, Herbert Hoover, Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush all did. Because they were men with some semblance of personal honor and decency; things that will never be said about that deranged sack of offal named Trump.

ReplyDeleteI also noted somewhere several weeks ago that this is an Outlaw's nightmare: the dude is trapped. There's no way he's going to "slip out" of the country, what with Secret Service, paparazzi and your average "American"'s inability to mind their own damned business he's got more eyes on him than a buxomly babe in a barroom. He might "get out" of the country, probably get away with it, but isn't gonna' be a secret. He broke literally the number one rule of being an Outlaw: do not attract attention to yourself.
