The White House’s science policy office on Tuesday ranked “ending the Covid-19 pandemic” atop the list of President Donald Trump’s top first-term accomplishments, even as the country registers record amounts of infections and hospitals fill up again.
The list, included in a press release from the Office of Science and Technology Policy credits the administration for taking “decisive actions to engage scientists and health professionals in academia, industry, and government to understand, treat, and defeat the disease.”
"Defeated"? In what universe does Donald Trump reside? Because it surely isn't this one.
The average number of new daily cases of the coronavirus in the United States hit another record on Monday as 36 states reported worrying rises in the number of hospitalized patients.
The average number of patients hospitalized with Covid-19 over the past seven days rose by at least 5% in 36 states as of Monday, according to a CNBC analysis of data from the Covid Tracking Project.
Covid defeated the Trump Administration, not the other way around. They've already thrown in the towel on Covid.
Trump's claim that his administration has defeated this pandemic is probably a sign of brain damage.
1984's Doublethink.
ReplyDeleteThat's just how facts work. If you state that something happened over and over and over, even a blatant obvious lie, then 38% of the US population will believe it. And you know which percentage that is. No thought needed for them, 'if God [er, trump] said it then I believe it'. They are true delusional believers and will be shocked when he looses. Obviously voter fraud and the Deep State are the reasons. And Hillary and Obama. And Joe Biden's son's damp computer, because something something or other.
ReplyDeleteMost probably just electoral desperation combined with his penchant for lying about anything and everything.
ReplyDeleteWhich, in a president, can be accurately described as brain damage, in that his alleged brain is damaging the bejeezus out of all kinds of shit...

I had to look up Office of Science and Technology Policy having never heard of it. I was thinking it was another Republican propaganda outfit. It turned out to be a real advisory committee to the White House started in the seventies. The new head is a well educated meteorologist instead of a physicist like his predecessors. It seems like the present administration can turn anything it touches into a dung pile.
ReplyDeleteWell, it is a tweaker, a meth-head. That'll damage a brain.
ReplyDeleteYes, it.
Minitrue has assured us that covid is now on the run....
ReplyDeletebelieve that and you have brain worm.
Eck!
