Hurricane Sally-- Batten Down, New Orleans

Look that the latest forecast map:


If the forecast holds, it's going to be moving very slowly when it comes ashore. That may mean that there's going to be a shitload of rain.

  2. It’s the Northshore that’s gonna get ganked with that track, plus some of the southern N.O. Lakefront. Almost a perfectly bad track to pile water into Lake Pontchartrain...but if it does curve NE like that, it’ll save drowning another 10,000+ homes because the NE quadrant will miss the areas that have grown since Katrina. Sigh.
