Caturday

Priss the garden cat:

To be clear, Priss is not our cat. She's her own cat. We feed her, as do others. Some nights she sleeps in the garage, where there is a cat bed, a litter box, food and water. Other nights, she stays in a neighbor's garage or under another neighbor's house, or Bastet knows where else. Sometimes she'll deign to let me pet her, other times, not.

  1. Good cat. We feed a big ol' black tomcat, one of those Maine mixes, a Metis' I've for not so obvious reasons named Thomas Blackwell, my g'g'da. An alleycat, sleeps under the porch frequently, enjoys regular breakfasts and dinner (a little too fancy, to my way of it), and has been known to steal the clams as gulls crack them. Has this look he gives you best described as askance should you suggest he come inside.

    Good cat.
