ReplyDeleteA) A sitting President attempting as self-pardon.
B) A sitting President resigning in exchange for his Vice-President issuing a pardon afterwards.
Open questions hang over both options...can it be done for A and would Mikey be willing to kill his future career for B. Perhaps Donnie intends to resign before the election, at the last minute, to try to bump Mikey across the line in exchange? Fascinating, yet disgusting, options abound.

ReplyDeleteIf they do that, and it's a huge "if", look for Trump to withdraw in October and the party will nominate Pence and Haley. But since the names on the ballots can't be changed, it'll get very interesting, indeed.
The names not changing is a win/win. The Trumpanzees will still vote for Trump, the more educated Reich-wingers will understand and vote for Trump...Jesus, I’m scaring myself now.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Maxwell will turn on Trump without immunity being assured for her testimony and, if granted, she won't spill the "beans" until after the election. But an October surprise would be welcome in this case.

A federal pardon won't get her off the hook. Procuring underage kids for sex is a crime in every state or territory that she did it.

ReplyDeleteI've seen nothing to support that Trump got Melania from Epstein/Maxwell. There are the usual stories about her committing visa fraud and how her HB-1 visa was granted under somewhat suspicious circumstances, but nothing about Epstein.
Do you have a source for that?
I'll try to find it . It was in a piece about something else .
