A Short Message to Activists

I have seen activists, on either side of the spectrum, talk about how they won't support a candidate unless that candidate signs onto their pet issue.

Here's the message: At noon on January 20, 2021, one of these two men will be sworn in as the President of the United States: Donald Trump or Joseph Biden.

That's it. There is no other choice, no viable third option. You get Trump or you get Biden.

Pick which you'll support, which you will vote for, which one you will donate your money and/or time to. And then do it.

Or not. But if the answer is "not", then go fuck yourself and shut the fuck up until 1/20/25. If you won't play within the parameters of the existing system, then until the system is changed, your opinions are of no weight whatsoever.

Biden or Trump. Choose one and get fucking busy.

  1. Pressure needs to be kept on Biden and the DNC to shift them as far left as possible, which granted, won't be that far.

There is of course the assumption that neither or both of them will not get sick and die before Nov. *fingers crossed*

My 'pet projects'; Medicare For All, Cancelling Student Debt, Free Collage, Real Infrastructure Spending, The Green New Deal, Universal Basic Income. Note that I personally do not need any of them.

  2. We can pressure Biden AFTER he becomes president. Until then, just try to get him elected, as all of the pressure in the world won't get you any closer to your goals if Fergus is still president.

  3. Oh yeah, gotta have all that fee stuff that we workers pay for. If you want communism, move to China for 5 years and them come back and tell us about it.

  4. These day's, cutie-pie, the Untied States are so indebted most middle-class Chinese can afford an American house-boy. Ewwwww... "communism", a-booga a booga a booga, the commie pinkos! The born again gay Mexican Muslims gonna' rape all the (white) wemin and steal all the jobs. What wrong narrative? Come back you've got something that isn't as old as your grandmother.

Lot can happen Twixt now and Nov.

  6. Nope. I’ll not choose between two abhorrent choices. Doing so would be throwing my vote away.

My vote wouldn’t count worth a damn for either of them in any case. My vote carries more value in gaining automatic ballot access for my party in the next electoral cycle.

My vote is earned, or not.

  9. I have almost never voted for a candidate, but vote defensively, "lesser of two evils" and all that. It's sad it usually comes to that, but I'm used to it by now.
