that the 2020 election was stolen, or

Petty-Ass Motherfucker-in-Chief
That's what he cares about, right now? His fucking TV ratings.
Trump is a small-minded, shallow, petty motherfucker.
While I'm ranting, remember this stupid stunt?
That's Congressman Matt Gaetz (R, Idiot), who wore a gas mask on the Floor of the House last month to poke fun at people who were advocating for preparing for the pandemic.
Gaetz should be pelted with rotten fruit every time he shows his ugly mug in public for the rest of his political career. There should be a law that permits anyone who lost a family member from Covid-19 to punch him in the face.

COMMENT MODERATION IS IN EFFECT UFN. This means that if you are an insulting dick, nobody will ever see it.
Spare a thought for the captain and crew of the USS Theodore Roosevelt. Docked in Guam, which has a total of about 30 ICU beds including the ones on base, and over 100 COVID-19 infections among the crew of ~4,000.
ReplyDeleteNo way to physical distance on a navy ship, they spent a week trying to get approval for the bulk of the crew to disembark and quarantine.
Now it seems as if the sailors who test negative will be quarantined in hotel rooms and a skeleton crew will remain aboard to tend the reactor while the whole carrier gets disinfected. What the other 3,000 sailors are going to do wasn't specified, although tense negotiations with Guam were alluded to.

That's hilarious...now do De Blasio.
ReplyDeletePerhaps it’s just that I’m watching more television now, but it seems that everyone that speaks at these press briefings uses the phrase: “I’d like to thank President Trump for his leadership...” at least twice during their orations. Once near the beginning and once again near the end. Now, granted I haven’t watched other press briefings of other presidents, but it appears that every speaker uses that phrase. In order to remain in this administration does one have to heap praise on Trump at every meeting? Sure seems that way, especially from what I saw early in 2017 when every member of the cabinet sitting around the table had to thank and praise Trump during a session. Such a poor, pathetic, insecure man. Here’s hoping for change in 2020.

DeBlasio doesn't have a National Security Council or an intelleigence agency to look for overseas threats. Trump does.
ReplyDeleteThe NSC had a group of people whose job it was to look for possible pandemics and determine how to get ready. At least, they did, until Trump fired all of them.
The lack of national preparedness and the slow response are all on Trump.
Not too far off topic, but about those deal-maker skills: For context, let’s look at what seventeen point eight (17.8) tons, thirty-five thousand six hundred (35,600) pounds looks like… Your average big-rig running down the pike with a forty foot trailer are hauling sixty (60,000) pounds: thirty (30) tons. Your average beer truck running around town is hauling about twenty-five thousand (25,000) pounds, twelve and a half (12.5) tons. Seventeen point eight (17.8) tons, thirty-five thousand six hundred (35,600) pounds, is a bit more than half a truckload, a bit more than a beer truck load, of stuff. Even if it were all paper masks at best that’s just one forty foot truck like you see all day everyday day running around town and down the freeways.
ReplyDeleteYes, it’s a big deal, a little grift, a little gravy, a little scratch my back, bastard sold supplies badly needed on the homefront out from under us, but it’s just not that big of a deal: a half truck – a truck at best – load of stuff.
On the fun note, a driver hauling toilet paper fell asleep and crashed early yesterday morning in Dallas. The TP burned...quite the apocalyptically appropriate image for the limited morning commute, a freeway covered with burned TP having to be front-loadered clear!
