All Roads Lead to Putin; WHO Ed.

President Donald Trump says he has directed a halt to U.S. payments to the World Health Organization pending a review of its warnings about the coronavirus and China.
Smart move in the middle of a global pandemic. This is classic Trumpian deflection-- find someone, anyone to blame for his fuckups. He is the Frank Burns of American presidents.

This latest hissy fit of King Babyhands will only serve to further diminish American influence and prestige in the world.

Which benefits Russia, or at least they think so.

With Trump, all roads lead to Putin.

  1. Like the oil production cuts he helped negotiate. Putin and MBS get rescued and the US, still a net importer of oil, pays $200 billion a year more.

  2. I've long thought by all accounts the Ruskies ran almost the perfect con, as if it were rehearsed, choreographed, all the ducks in a row, best laid plans of mice and men. Almost. But for the mark; but for the rube. Been distracted of late, haven't we, haven't touched on this in a bit. I still think Putin will come to regret his grand game.

If only on the realization he was but a pawn in a grander game.

  3. He's at least starting to admit that Russia has a problem with COVID-19. One has to wonder just how bad things had to get over there before he did so.
