The number of people already infected by the mystery virus emerging in China is far greater than official figures suggest, scientists have told the BBC.In You may recall that in World War Z, the virus that begat the zombies arose in China.
There have been 41 laboratory-confirmed cases of the new virus, but UK experts estimate the figure is closer to 1,700.
Two people are known to have died from the virus, which appeared in Wuhan city in December.
But if they are zombies, remember, headshots, people.
It's not unreasonable, nobody wants to eat your eyes.

ReplyDeleteThe question I have is what kind/caliber of head shots? The shows/movies never properly address why or how the head shot works and what area of the brain needs destroyed and how. The just show any shot to the head “kills” them, but there’s a significant difference between a .22 short or a .50AE to the noggin. That plus the brain stem is the likely active portion on a zombie...
ReplyDeleteSo, what’s the answer, double taps...magnums...rifles...hollow points?
I thought it was Korea. Guess I was too busy looking over my shoulder.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd want to use my model 94 32 special.

CP88, WWZ has aircrew using suppressed .22 carbines for emergency guns. The soldiers are using .223s.
ReplyDeleteI'd guess that there is something in how the virus works the brain that a direct exposure to air short-circuits it.
Still, headshots are difficult. The skull isn't a bad protective shield.
Slight difference between subsonic .22 and .223’s, to say the least. I’d like some movie or book to try to make it make sense.
