The suspect in the deadly shooting at Naval Air Station Pensacola in Florida held a dinner party before the attack to watch mass shooting videos, a US official briefed on the situation by federal authorities told the Associated Press.President Genius; Stable; Very had something to tweet:
The suspect, a member of the Saudi Air Force who was in the US for training, shot and killed three people and wounded another seven Friday in a horrific act of violence. During the attack, another Saudi student, one of three who reportedly attended the dinner party, filmed the shooting at the US naval base.
Two other Saudi students are said to have watched from a car.
Ten Saudi students have reportedly been detained for questioning. Some of the Saudi nationals at the base are, however, currently unaccounted for, the AP reports.
President Donald Trump said Friday that he had spoken by phone to Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Al-Saud, following a deadly shooting on a Pensacola, Florida naval base. Authorities have said that the shooter, who killed at least three people and wounded at least eight, was a visiting Saudi national.Horseshit.
“King Salman of Saudi Arabia just called to express his sincere condolences and give his sympathies to the families and friends of the warriors who were killed and wounded in the attack that took place in Pensacola, Florida,” Trump tweeted shortly after 2:00pm on Friday.
“The King said that the Saudi people are greatly angered by the barbaric actions of the shooter, and that this person in no way shape or form represents the feelings of the Saudi people who love the American people,” Trump added.
I have little doubt that King Salman knows as much as what the average Saudi thinks as does Trump, or, for that matter, a street camel. But it is interesting that Herr Bone Spurs didn't talk to Prince Bone Saw, or maybe he leaves that task to his son-in-law, who is a paid-up member of the Future Felons of America.
And this:
The gunman - Saudi national Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani who was a trainee at the site - killed three people in a classroom before being shot dead. For you know that if the shooter had been a student from any other Middle Eastern country. Trump would have sent Gruppenfuhrer Miller out to screech about the wisdom of Trump's Muslim bans and how they would have prevented this tragedy. The Trump Propaganda Network would be wall-to-wall screeching about terrorism.
Authorities have not said the other students were involved.
A Twitter user appearing to match Alshamrani's identity had made a series of anti-US posts, US media say.
But US Defence Secretary Mark Esper said on Saturday that he would not label the incident as "terrorism" at this point.
This is not all on Trump, of course. Our national policy has been "suck up to the Saudis" for decades. But this is still on Trump because this is his watch.
If there is a reason for green sources of energy other than to do something about climate change, it is to push the Saudis back into irrelevancy.
We (the US) don't need the Saudis. Due to Trump's policies, we produce enough of our own oil for our domestic needs.,,,making them irrelevant to the US. (and hurting their source of income as the price of oil declines)
ReplyDeleteRemember, Trump didn't bow to the head of the House of Saud, unlike Barry.
The fact is that these radical muslims (notice I said "radical" not all, but it does include many) from Saudi and Pah-ki-stahn and other middle eastern countries have a great ability to radicalize and become jihadists....no matter how long they are westernized.
The problem is sorting the good ones from the bad.
Gee, I remember when your guy was lip-locking the Saudi king and walking, hand-in-hand, through the Texas bluebells.
ReplyDelete“Due to Trump’s policies...”
ReplyDeleteHorseshit.
GHWBush’s and Obama’s policies caused the rise in U.S. oil production between 2008 and 2013. By the time Donnie assumed office, the U.S. was 85%+ independent of oil imports (excluding Canada, interestingly enough). Since an oil well takes years to get located, approved and start producing, we can safely say that Donnie has had little influence on these factors so far. The fastest way to produce would be a known field, with a single owner, and using a vertical/non-fracking bore, and even that would take at least 6 months, without accounting for the research and mapping to locate the deposit. A horizontal well would add months or years to that timeline, as would multiple property owners.
In fact, Donnie’s coal policies have handicapped oil and gas producers in some areas, actually slowing domestic production.
CP: Oddly you appear to lack a grasp on reality again....Or you just try to adjust your reality to fit your hatred.
ReplyDeleteThe oil companies HAD the data on where and how to drill...They've known for years like the last 30 or in some cases 50 years....they developed fracking to make that kind of oil accessible. They know where to drill, they simply could not do so due to Barry's anti energy/"Green" policies. Barry simply made it difficult to drill and/or frack.
"Under my administration energy prices will necessarily skyrocket"...remember that?
Personally, I think Barry was the one under Saudi influence...they needed the price of oil to be high for them to make money....and he helped keep it high.
And, BTW, less than 90 days from start of drilling to a producing well, often less. That includes the horizontal and slant wells. You should catch up to modern technology. This ain't the '70's anymore.
Horse shit. Obama pissed off the environmentalists with his "all of the above" energy policies, and fracking, which was debt-financed, has crashed into its own wall as the price of the oil it extracts has fallen out of the corporate greed satisfaction zone, meanwhile the methane fracking releases into the atmosphere has counteracted the effects that the cheaper natural gas' displacement of coal fired power made on the greenhouse effect.
ReplyDeleteThe reduction of particulate pollution from coal plants was positively affecting health outcomes while the Obama administration was tightening the regulations on it, but since Fergus deregulated it, particulates are up and their own EPA estimates 1,500 added early deaths annually from them.
If we had any brains as a country at all, we would position ourselves to lead the transition away from fossil fuels, but instead we let China convert our technology into 13 million jobs there.
We know it's going to happen, so doesn't it make sense to get ahead of it now, and better compete with the other players in the market, who, again, are largely using our technology?
But no, we get Rex the fuck Tillerson hand picked by the Russians who he had a half-trillion dollar deal pending with for fossil fuel extraction to gut, I mean run the state department and promises to bring back the long dead coal industry, and open disdain for any renewable energy. Windmills cause cancer? What kind of crack is that moron smoking?
The Saudis, like Russia, have an economy supported by fossil fuels, and it's no coincidence that they both want Fergus to be president of the country that is the greatest threat to their sole source of wealth should we get serious about promoting cleaner energy technology, because as soon as we develop it, the rest of the world will adopt it, very much including their markets in Europe.
