ReplyDeleteFor those running firefox and chrome, I suggest Bypass Paywalls. They take a little bit of computer chops to install, as both browsers won't allow it to be a sanctioned add-on. But if you don't have hundreds of dollars for subscriptions...
ReplyDeleteAll these paywalls - someone needs to set up an equiv of paypal for online articles, that supports micropayments. You refill your pool of µpayments, then use one for each article paywalled. The visited sites then hand every few hundred or however many in for a single lump payment large enough to be worth the transaction cost.

Check out a site called outline.com. When you hit a paywall, copy-paste its URL into the box on outline and it tries to strip the paywall message...seems to work on maybe 80% of the paywall sites.
