Ah, the Morris-Minor 1000...I remember them well. The Ford Granada had generally taken over the highway role by the time I was old enough to notice them, but the Morris was still all over in that strange plae blue scheme. They called them "Panda cars", and they did 0-60 in 22 seconds, so were pretty much resigned to local beat cops as soon as anything more powerful showed up.
