ReplyDeleteThomas stats is both correct and slightly confusing. Native/First American women at the most risk, with African American women close behind and lowest income women having six times the risk of the wealthiest (there is a correlation with poverty and NA/AA race that influences this a lot). However, the latest stats show AA women being killed at a slightly (4.4 vs 4.3 per 100,000) higher rate. If we change to violence, then the roles reverse, as Thomas observes.
